Thunder Snow

Have you ever been caught in a torrential snow storm which included thunder and lightning? Well Sunday I was as we were caught in the bowl at the bottom of Mineral Basin as a strong storm rolled through the mountain valley at Snowbird and forced all the lifts to be stopped for almost a half an hour as the thunder and lightning continued to pound the area.

How the day started with a little sun peaking through.

While it was little terrifying to ski back to the condo in conditions where you could not see more than 5 feet ahead of you, it was also a really cool experience. I kinda love Thunder Snow now.
