This week's Wednesday Wishes is a mix of things for me and for baby. I am on the hunt for the perfect set for the hospital (robe and nursing pjs) cause I know I am going to want to be out of those hospital gowns as soon as humanly possible.

My birthday is coming up and I am starting to think about what I would be putting on my wish list. I usually have tons of outfits I am craving but being pregnant my mind is on shoes, purses and technology. Oh and maybe a cute bangle or two.

Little girl's clothes are just dreamy. And its fun to lust after some beautiful pieces from the amazing brand Janie and Jack. I was able to visit their outlet this past weekend and the nice thing is that you can snag pieces that are still in store at a minimum of 25% off the retail price up to 60% off. It's nice because unlike so many other outlets, the pieces are current and new. Here are just a few of the pieces I am loving right now. I would say that its best to purchase their larger sizes (I looked at just 12+ plus for almost everything, since I wanted to get the most out of each wear). Also the sales lady did tell me that typically their dresses run big, which is great to know for this first time mom.

My mom was in town last week helping us to get started on the nursery for our baby girl. I honestly am already so in love with her room and find myself nesting in there 24/7. These are all items that we are either considering or already have in place in the room. Her furniture is pretty much all set and now comes the fun part, decorating! We have a few decorations in place but more to come when my mom is back hopefully in April for my California Baby Shower.

Today's Wednesday Wishes is focused on the men in our lives and outfitting them for those events where a tie is needed. Dan is one of the those guys that can easily pull off a bow tie or necktie, so when Beau Ties of Vermont offered him a tie to try out I knew he would be game.

The sent us a beautiful pink necktie that I cannot wait to pack him for our next wedding. Where do you find ties for your guys?

Every Fall my family heads up to our house in the Catskills to pick apples off our property and take them to the cider press to make gallons of fresh apple cider. It was always one of my favorite activities in college to the point that I would even fly home for Fall Break so I could participate. I have really missed it since I moved out to California in 2009, but that doesn't mean I can't be inspired but what I would wear if I was there for this year's picking.

I love to camp. When Dan and I got married, we registered for a bunch of camping gear and I am so glad we did. I've always been an outdoorsy kid. Even though I grew up in New York City, we spent the weekends at our house in Upstate New York and I loved it there. My sister, cousin and I used to head out early in the morning to hike to the pond and pick blueberries for pancakes on the way back, my dad and I went hiking on the Appalachian Trail as a kid, and we camp out in the yard every year for the Square Dance.

Still I know roughing it is not everyone's style so for today's Wednesday Wishes, I've elevated from camping to glamping. I'll say that the Real Housewives of NY's trip to Montana this season totally inspired me.

Today's wishes are a mix of high and low price point pieces. I have been loving ASOS lately and their price point is perfect. As you can see  I have been wanting a light pink bag and while I love the Kate Spade number, this ASOS option could be a great choice at an even better price point. 

Clearly pink is on my mind based on these adorable Vineyard Vines jeans and killer Nike sneakers. I am thinking that they could be a great replacement after my current sneakers treads run low.

I've also been wanting to replace my leopard print shoes that I had to get rid when they were practically falling apart.  

Finally I've got my eye on this abstract peplum top and this aubergine dress for one the the upcoming weddings we are attending this summer.

This week's Wednesday Wishes is dedicated to the perfect Lake House Getaway. With summer winding down, I'm dreaming of an old fashioned lake house weekend retreat, complete with canoes, cold beer, homemade popsicles, floating down a river and a rope swing into the lake.

When I think of a lake house weekend I think of cutoff jean shorts, a simple black one piece suit and my favorite Shep Shirt from Vineyard Vines along with a pair of Sperry Top-Siders. And of course sparklers to celebrate one hell of a weekend!
