Dust is the final book in the Silo Series. All I have to say is wow! It sucked me in and I could not refrain from putting it down. It followed multiple timelines throughout the story and finally brought the mystery of the silos full circle. I am looking forward any of Hugh Howley's next books!

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
The Fault in Our Stars has become a summer blockbuster and is the story of a girl with terminal cancer and the cancer survivor she meets at a cancer kids group. What results is the story of their friendship and burgeoning love and how they find a way to live life to the fullest while facing terrible odds. It is poinginat and sweet but this is not a light read.

One Summer by Bill Bryson
One Summer follows the history of America in the summer of 1927, especially as it pertains to aviation, baseball, finance and popular culture. For a history buff it is a great read, especially when you consider the wit Bryson brings to any of his books. I could not put it down.

Frances and Bernard by Carlene Bauer
This is the story of two young people in 1957 who find themselves meeting at an artist's colony that summer. Soon after a friendship begins through correspondence. Their entire relationship and story is told through correspondence with one antother and close friends. It is an interesting persepective to have no narrator. A fast read and worth it for the uncommon storytelling.

Wild by Cheryl Strayed
Wild is the story of Cheryl Strayed and her walk along the PCT or Pacific Coast Trail, which is the sister trail to the Appalachian Trail on the east coast. Having hiked the Appalachian trail myself and devoured Bill Bryson's A Walk In The Woods, I really enjoyed Wild. It is a quick read and an interesting biography told over the course of her adventure.
