Summer is finally coming to an end in California. I feel like we are always a month or two behind the rest of the world (with the exception of never seeing winter), and its time to start transitioning to my favorite season for clothes, Fall!
During the Fall, I like to move away from brighter color bags and I gravitate more towards navies, blacks, wines, emeralds and greys. I love this crossbody bag from Gigi NY and am considering putting the wine colored one on my Christmas list, monogrammed of course!
It's also the perfect time to transition to fancy flats on the weekends instead of your stylish espadrilles. I'll sneak a sandal from time to time during the Fall, but I am all about d'Orsay flats and booties this season.
It's also time to upgrade your head gear. While a straw hat is timeless, there is something that screams beach about it (so while I will continue to wear mine on beach weekends this fall), for running around town a felt hat will get you in the season so much quicker.
Finally its time to add your puffer vest to your rotation. While chilly summer nights can warrant a gauzy scarf around your neck, its time to add the puffer to the scarf to keep you warm. I love this herringbone version from J.Crew Factory and you can bet it will be in heavy rotation this fall, especially at softball. Sometimes you just need a warm vest in between innings.
I love those Tory Burch bow sandals!
